CodeSync Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Captain platform, available at getcaptain.dev and app.getcaptain.dev (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your choices regarding that information.
By using the Service you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Account information. When you register, we collect your name, email address, and a password (stored in hashed form).
Third-party OAuth tokens. If you connect an integration (GitHub, Jira, Bitbucket, Datadog, AWS, Railway, etc.), we store the access and refresh tokens needed to operate that connector on your behalf. These tokens are encrypted at rest.
Usage data. We collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, and actions taken (e.g., creating releases or deployments). This data is used to improve the product.
Log data. Our servers automatically record information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and timestamps when you access the Service.
Cookies and similar technologies. We use session cookies to keep you authenticated. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
We do not share your personal information with third parties except in the following limited circumstances:
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us (see Section 8). We will fulfill deletion requests within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
We implement industry-standard security measures, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and to notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
The Service integrates with third-party platforms at your direction. Your use of those platforms is governed by their respective privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party services.
The Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
